Hi

I am trying to load basic gis data of some 3D buildings in Unity 2021.3.4. When I load the 3d map inside my webscene viewer everything seems to be okay.

(webssceneviewer picture in attachments).

When I add a 3D layer to my Unity project with the same name and same link. No buildings show up whatsoever. Anyone that has a clue on what I'm doing wrong?

This is the URL:

basemap URL:

Kind regards,

Dries

That layer is on a version of the i3s spec we don't support yet. For future reference if you want to see why a layer might not be loading you can add a view state logging component to your map and it will log relevant information into the console for you to more easily troubleshoot your issues.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your reply. I added a view state logging component but it just said:
"arcgislayerviewstate 'xnamex' changed to : Error(IO-error.) " So I didn't really know what to make up of this issue.
For the solution to my problem. How do I export a certain part of this map and load it into Unity? There is GIS data available as I can see in the webscene view, so how do I get the GIS data of that area visualized in Unity? Do I need to buy arcGIS pro and can I export some data there? any clues for me? 🙂

Kind regards,

Dries

I think you could use ArcGIS Pro to convert it to a previous version of i3s save it as an slpk but I am not actually sure on that.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the new OSM 3D buildings layer is still in Beta isn't fully supported yet (for more info see this thread).

In the meantime, you can work with scene services and scene layer packages of type 3D Object Scene Layer or Integrated Mesh Scene Layer that are published based on the i3S 1.x spec - this ArcGIS Online query for "buildings" and "scenelayers" will provide you with some examples: https://www.arcgis.com/home/search.html?q=buildings&focus=layers-weblayers-scenelayers

Thanks
