Field Maps update to 25.2.X creating editing issues

Still investigating what the heck is going on, but it seems users who have older versions of Field Maps 25.1.X (or older) can still edit editable map features. Users on version 25.2.X cannot edit those same editable map features. They don't even get a feature popup when they tap the feature.
This issue does not seem to be limited to iPads, iOS versions, Androids, etc.

It appears that the root of the issue is based on the Field Maps app version being used.

This is a huge issue for us as many (but luckily not all) of our field staff devices update apps automatically. We are a Public Works department and we use ArcGIS Online as our work order system.

This issue is very serious to our work functions and business continuity.

Anyone else having similar issues? I saw a fresh post stating that the new Field Maps app versions were also causing issues when connecting to Trimble GPS devices.

ESRI, I sure hope you are dedicating an army of resources to fixing this critical issue
Maybe consider rolling the app version update back?

Had this happen on Wednesday of this week thanks to an auto-update. Have no idea how this got through QR/QA.

Was out in the field doing work this past week. Tuesday - everything worked fine. Wednesday am - suddenly the editable layer on our field maps project would not load up. Instead of getting our usual fields in the pop-up window, the icon just keeps spinning as if it's trying to load.

Also, we suddenly can no longer change base maps. The basemap that was loaded up on tuesday night still worked wednesday am, but any change to any other basemap returned this error: "the spatial reference isn't compatible with this map".

this was across several different tablets in our organization and across several different projects with several different basemaps. And they all broke at the exact same time.

I had to quickly throw my stuff into QGIS to work on thursday.

Hey @JohnTudek

I'm not sure this is the same issue. Do you happen to have a lot of expressions in your popups? We have noted some performance issues with popups loading caused by expressions that we are investigating further. Here is the thread of that report: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-field-maps-questions/25-2-0-pop-up-performance-issues/m-p/16547...

We have also heard others mentioning this spatial reference error. One area to check for now is if your "Extent coordinate system" also differs from the spatial reference of your feature layer and basemap. This is set at the creation of the tile package in Pro. Looking into why the tolerance for this might have changed.

If you have not already, please reach out to Esri Support to help us track the impact of these. Thank you!

Colin

Yes I'm aware of the different clustered popup, but nope, I don't get a popup whether I'm tapping a clustered point feature or if I'm tapping a single point feature.

@RTMRTM can you provide your case number and I can follow up on why there are no responses?
