MDM deployment to hardwire Enterprise URL only (removing AGOL option)

Despite deploying Fieldmaps to our fieldstaff and hardwiring the portal URL they still commonly try to use the white "Sign in with ArcGIS Online" button instead of the blue "Sign in with ArcGIS Enterprise" button. Many staff even claim the can not see the blue button on the blue background....possibly not the wisest design choice.

The preferred option is to enable an MDM configuration option to entirely remove the 'Sign in with ArcGIS Online' and present only one log in button. And for it to not be blue.

Thanks

I would agree that the most difficult issue we face in deploying GIS solutions in the mobile device is the login issue. With staff changeover, new devices, and system issues - this is what takes up 90% of our field support calls. Easy to resolve, but clearly something isn't working here.

Our field teams are focused on industry-related tasks and in many cases feel uncomfortable writing an email. For them to navigate the login screen with the terminology, there is a huge challenge that deters our user acceptance rate.

While we deploy both AGOL and Enterprise Field Apps to the teams, having some control over this would be ideal and likely lead to an increase in the number of "non-GIS" users from the mobile.

This is a 100% needed option, our users frequently are logged out of the app, which they see the large white button on a blue background, and press "Sign in with ArcGIS Online" instead of the subtly colored blue "Sign in with Enterprise" button.

Many users I spoke with said that the button is "grayed" out so they didn't press it, only because it was colored similar to the background, so they just skipped it. This takes hours out of GIS administrators days and prevents quality and urgent work being done. Adding this ability would be fantastic and allow us to avoid these losses of time and other issues.

I believe a solution for this already exists. When managing the app through an MDM, you can pre-configure the Portal URL which will bypass the default screen where you select AGOL or Enterprise.

More information can be found in this technical paper: https://support.esri.com/en-us/technical-paper/arcgis-mobile-apps-and-mobile-device-management-mdm-s...

Edit: Some people have had mixed results with this method with it still showing the default screen, but allowing you to pre-select the Portal URL when logging in. I'm just going off what Esri is claiming how it works in the technical paper.

Edit: See this youtube video for a demo on how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UIIRvdWGcM&t=1440s

The only problem I see is having my organization's IT/GIS department taking the time and addressing this. Knowing my organization, finding someone who will be the MDM administrator, learning/studying about the process and testing it throughout the organization will never happen unfortunately.  For them, dealing with users accessing the wrong log-in and complaints is not very important. But I'm the one who deals with these emails on a weekly basis.

I was hoping Esri would consider changing their app's GUI to better address this instead.

Thank you for sharing.
