Is there a way to take maps offline in Explorer for ArcGIS? We want to use tablets with Explorer for our field crews in areas with almost no connectivity. Is this possible?

No,  Explorer for ArcGIS uses a fully connected Web Map at this time.   In the future, support for offline maps will be generally available for Esri Apps, similar to what is currently available today in Navigator for ArcGIS.

Alright, sounds good. We have decided to use Collector for ArcGIS in a similar way, since you can download a local copy.

Thanks for your reply!

Hi Mark

Is there any further update to the offline capability for Explorer for ArcGIS?

Thanks
