What's the purpose of the ST_GeomCollection function? (Oracle)
ST_Geometry function reference > ST_GeomCollection
ST_GeomCollection constructs a geometry collection from a well-known text representation.
The examples in the docs don't make much sense to me. Is ST_GeomCollection a function? If so, what's an actual example of it being used? i.e. SDE.ST_GeomCollection(...)
Or is it a datatype?
I don't think I understand.
