Turn on all pop-ups for map image layer via ArcGIS Online Assistant JSON

Question

I am trying to turn on all pop-ups within a map image layer via the item's JSON in the ArcGIS Online Assistant, as this process takes hours manually. I have previously used this methodology for other layers in web maps, however the JSON isn't showing any information regarding pop-ups this time. I am wondering if this functionality is limited to feature services?

HI Georgia,

I am wondering if the web image layer was not setup using a mosaic data set. Based on the documentation, this is a prerequisite for configuring popups when using imagery.

If the process of setting up mosaic data sets becomes too tedious, I bet ArcGIS Pro tasks would come in handy:

Tasks are really helpful at creating efficient workflows that are iterative such as setting up mosaic datasets.
