Required port is already in use in arcgis server 10.1 ????

Hi,

i am facing the below error what is the permanent solution for it i  am using window 7.

where DELLPC is my computer name.




Failed to start the server machine 'DELLPC'. Error while starting AppServer. Required port '4,000' already in use.'

Can you find out what is currently using the port and move it?

Not sure, but try going to Start, Programs, ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, configure arcgis server account and run the wizard. That wizard is like the old Post install - solves a lot of problems.
