We purchased ArcGIS Portal and Server version 11.0 for our organization around 2 years ago. Recently, our navigation bar disappeared, and we can't even log in. On the console, we can see this message:

[Deprecation] Listener added for a 'DOMNodeInserted' mutation event. Support for this event type has been removed, and this event will no longer be fired. See https://chromestatus.com/feature/5083947249172480 for more information.

Our engineers are extremely disappointed and frustrated with the local ESRI Bangladesh support team, who are saying we have to buy ArcGIS Enterprise again.

I'm confused about why they would even say that, as we spent a lot on the system and this basic functionality isn't even working. I looked to see if Esri had released any patches for ArcGIS Enterprise version 11.0, but I couldn't find any.

Any sort of help would be extremely appreciated.

Mutation events are no longer supported in Chrome and Edge browsers. This is causing the navigation bar to disappear. For more details, refer to this Esri article: Impact of Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge 127 updates on ArcGIS Enterprise

Esri have released a patch to address this issue, however, there is no patch for version 11.0, as it is a short-term release in mature support.

As an immediate workaround, you could try using a browser that still supports mutation events. In the long-term, upgrading your ArcGIS Enterprise version may be necessary.

You may also want to review your Enterprise Licensing Agreement with Esri to determine if you’re eligible for an upgrade without additional licensing costs.

Your local support team is correct. This issue with ArcGIS Enterprise started AFTER Esri already ended support for it. Therefore, Esri is not going to release a patch for it. This is standard in the software industry where companies do not support software after it has reached end of life. The only "real" solution is to upgrade or use Firefox.
