Hello,

I am reviewing the below blog post about the deprecation of the Tile Cache data store:

ArcGIS Enterprise: Migrate to the object store

And was curious about some specifics related to migrating from tile cache to object data store. Ideally, I would like to replace my tile cache data store with an object data store, without needing to create a new VM or new installation of ArcGIS Data Store. Is there an issue with configuring my 11.4 tile cache data store as both a tile cache and object data store, and then migrating within the same installation of data store?

@mattkramer ESRI recommends creating a new and separate VM for the Object Store. I configured it on the same machine but still not able to build cache for multip patch scene layers.

If you are on Linux, note: "You cannot alter which ArcGIS Data Store types are installed on the machine. That means you cannot add another type later, but it also means you cannot uninstall an ArcGIS Data Store type if you decide you do not need it." Install ArcGIS Data Store—Portal for ArcGIS | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise

Also note, if you upgrade/set up a new HA deployment, "
An ArcGIS Data Store 11.5 object store deployed in cluster mode must contain a minimum of three machines." Upgrade to ArcGIS Data Store 11.5—Portal for ArcGIS | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise
