Hello,

I'm having some problems renewing an enterprise geodatabase license.

When I attempt to add a connection to the enterprise geodatabase in the Catalog, I'm getting the prompt for the new license file as expected, but I select our new ArcGIS Server Advanced prvc file and press OK I'm getting the error message:

Failed to Connect to the specified DMBS Instance

A database connection exception occurred

a product licensing error occurred

Does anyone have any ideas about how we can resolve this problem?

Thanks,

Mike...

Hi Mike the .prvc file is just the provisioning file not the actual license, on your enterprise server navigate to c:/program files/esri/sysgen/keycodes.ecp the .ecp file is the license file.

Kind Regards

Henry
