Is it possible to make a text box in a custom print template that allows for multiple lines of user input text?

Hi All,

I've published a print service to enterprise with a custom print template. My template has a text box for notes, which is large enough to have multiple lines of text. I'm using this print service with the print widget in ExB.

What I would like, is for the notes field under the Advanced options in the print widget to show a larger text box so users can enter notes with line breaks. Is this possible?

As it currently stands, if you type a long enough note that it requires multiple lines, the template puts line breaks in automatically. I would like to be able to put line breaks in when text is entered so users have more formatting options.

Thanks!

@TanuHoque Do you know how to make these text boxes bigger in the print widget if I publish a custom print service with custom text elements?

Thank you!

Hi @lmr880 ,

Currently, only single-line text is supported for custom text elements.

However, since the print service supports line breaks, we're considering making an enhancement to support multiline input for custom text elements. This enhancement will be available in Enterprise 12.1.

Thanks,

Shengdi
