Hi all, I am trying to connect to an Enterprise portal to publish a feature service so everybody in my organization can see it and thus utiliize it. However, I am having problems with connecting to AGOL through ArcGIS Pro. Am I doing this correctly?

thanks George

Hello @GeorgeJonesRIGOV , no you seem to be making an ArcGIS Server connection in your screenshot.

Follow these steps instead to connect to a portal, either ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online.

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/projects/manage-portal-connections-from-arcgis-pro.htm

"Enter the URL for the portal on the Add Portal dialog box and click OK.

Exactly - that's it! Just want to connect to an ArcGIS server connection. My goal is to share a web feature service to it.

You originally stated you have an ArcGIS Enterprise, so you should publish your Feature Service to that.

An ArcGIS Server connection can only be used to publish to a standalone ArcGIS Server. You cannot use an ArcGIS Server connection to publish data to an ArcGIS Server that is Federated with a Portal to form an ArcGIS Enterprise.
