How does the ArcGIS take the machine address contained in the url?

The url generated by the ArcGIS server may take one of the following addresses:

1. The name of the machine
2. The ???localhost???
3. The IP address

At which stage the ArcGIS server can be set to take particular address? For example, if I want the ArcGIS Server to contain the machine name (instead of localhost or IP address) then how this can be set?

In particular cases, when the url is called, an error can take place due to the machine address (machine name/localhost/IP). Therefore, the "machine name" is the best option to be contained in the url.

Thank you

Best
