Enterprise Item Metrics

Question

Is there anyway to get item access statistics, like how many times a webmap or layers was viewed?

I can see in Portal Admin that a user logged in, but we really are looking to see what maps / apps are being used.

Our Enterprise is on Azure, so we are also seeing if Azure Insights can help out.

Layers can be checked via ArcGIS Monitor, ArcGISServer statistics or parsing webserver logs.

For the item views, available in Portal, I have mixed emotions.
It is not yet supported by the ArcGIS Monitor and this metric at least in the past was not accurate. In my org we are parsing webserver logs to get proper views for each app.

Sign into your portal site / choose content tab / choose the map or content item in question / view count will be visible
