I know you can look at the properties of the feature class in catalog to see if editor tracking is enabled or disabled. And look at the editor tracking user/date field values as needed.
Does the geodatabase keep track of when editor tracking is enabled and disabled so you can see the date-time stamp, user and workstation details when editor tracking is enabled and disabled on a feature class?

Have you considered the archiving option? The time stamp of the modify can then guide you back to the archived edit to see the change?
