Hi, does anyone have Data Flow Diagram? I am trying to publish ArcGIS Server map services on port number 6080, and my organization's IT security team wants to see the Data Flow diagram since I am trying to use none-typical web port, 6080. I know I can change this port number to default port number 80 using ArcGIS Server adapter, but also wondering if anyone knows where I can get the Data Flow diagram for port number 6080.

Thanks,

Usually you create a Data Flow Diagram that models an entire system, not just a port number on a server.

What do they not understand about a port number on a server?  It's like asking for a Data Flow Diagram for Google.  You make a request for a resource and get a response.  It just so happens that ESRI decided to use port 6080 for their ArcGIS Server, probably because it doesn't conflict with any other known ports of other products that might contain an embedded web server.

Maybe they want you to diagram your GIS infrastructure for them?  SDE (data sources), ArcGIS Server, Web Adaptor, and custom web applications, ... how they all relate?

This article from ArcUser has some basic diagrams of 10.1 ArcGIS for Server architecture as well as a succinct description of deployment and usage. A very good and quick read!

Hope this helps,
