I can see that in Version 10.x, the Enterprise Suite offered ways to customise the search functionality provided through the REST API. Is this idea dropped in version 11.x? Does anyone know how it is possible to intervene in the process so I can allow my custom search to inject or even replace the entire search results of the service provided by the Enterprise with my custom results? Does the suite provide a way to customize the search experience or even replace it with something entirely different?
My understanding is that the search service is used in the portal as well as the custom sites; therefore it would be a good idea to respect this architecture and either intervene to merge the results with custom ones or replace them completely with the custom ones.
Any help would be appreciated.
