Hey all,

I am attempting to change the service account for my Enterprise to a domain account after getting stuck behind write issues when attempting to use the WEBGISDR, but when I attempt to use the configureserviceaccount.bat file to set the username & password it runs, but get stuck at

Starting RunAs user configuration

Hi @Amarz, did you run the command prompt as an Administrator before executing the command?

Yes, everytime.

Have you verified that your command prompt window when running configureserviceaccount.bat is not in Quick Edit mode? You can right click the command prompt and click Properties and make sure that Quick Edit is not checked.

I don't think that necessarily stops the command from running, but I've found that if it is enabled, it sometimes won't display new lines of text which gives the appearance that it is stuck. It's happened to me several times (not necessarily with the configureserviceaccount.bat though) and I've seen various Esri documentation stating to make sure Quick Edit mode is disabled as well.

It was in Quick Edit Mode, and I disabled it. However I am still experiencing that the command stops at the same spot. It also Stops the Portal for ArcGIS service, and I have to restart it every time.

I should say, the account I am attempting to change it to does have symbols in the password, I am using double quotes around it. I have also attempted single quotes and no quotes, but get the error that the password was unexpected at this time.
