ArcMap legend for service that contains a colormap

I have an ArcGIS Mapping Service running on AGS 10.1. The service contains a raster that has a colormap. When this service is added to an ArcMap session, the legend does not show up. Legends show up fine for all other data types(vector, rasters without a colormap). Anyone know how I can make the legend show up for my end-users when they connect to the map service?

By the lack of replies, I'm guessing that this is not possible. Just thought I'd give this a bump to check again and see if anyone has experience with this.
