Hi,

We're adding a feature service by url from another ArcGIS server which we are storing credentials against. This Feature Service is in a particular datum and has on the fly transform enabled. Is there a way to request an alternative datum from within the portal item in AGS Enterprise, as in, bake it in to the Feature Service on our Portal? I can request the transform using query function on the source REST (define the destination SRID and Datum Transformation).

Behavior I'd like is that when users load the portal item into Pro for example, it would automatically request the on the fly projection from the source server. Hoping to avoid users needing to explicitly specify the datum transform in their Pro projects.

Hi @FMGLGIS

It is not possible to change the coordinate reference system of a service when adding via url or any other direct way for that matter. It will need to be republished.

Hope this helps

Thanks Richard, we'll notify users to store the appropriate transform in their ArcGIS Pro projects and request information about transforms published with the service on the source AGS Server.
