I have the coordinates of a fixed point in Lat / Long format.
I have a True North Azimuth bearing from that point,
and I have a distance along that bearing in miles.
My problem is: How do I plot the point which is at the end of the bearing?

I am using ArcGIS 10 with Ordnance Survey Great Britain mapping.

Following on from this I then want to plot that position in 3D using the height at that location in feet , for that I will use ArcGlobe.

My ultimate goal is to be able to plot several 3D positions using bearings and distances from a common source to produce a 3D track.

Any pointers to where to go would be most helpful.  Thanks.

Derek,

Have a look at the Bearing Distance To Line tool that was added in 10:
