Hi,

I used to install ArcGIS Enteprise v11 base development using ArcGIS Enterprise Builder (ArcGIS_Enterprise_Builder_Windows_110_182911.iso) on Windows Server 2022 Datacenter with IIS 10. After the installation the following error appear:

gprocino_0-1673437653576.png

I tried to verify if it was a certificate problem but reading

https://enterprise.arcgis.com/it/portal/latest/administer/windows/enable-https-on-your-web-server-po...

I didn't found information about IIS 10. The documentation present the following "add site binding window" that doesn't exist in IIS 10, where I have the following options:

Do you have any idea?

Thank you

Giuseppe

@gpgisandsky The screenshot from IIS 10 suggests you are in the right place.

Set site binding as follows:

Type: https

Port: 443

SSL certificate: Choose the SSL certificate with the server host name. This option will show when Type is changes to https.

Good luck!

Hy Ayan,

thank you for your reply. I can't change http to https because how you can see in the above image http is grey and I cann't change it. I don't know why. In advanced site setting I tried to change "enable protocols" from http to https but nothing change in "Add site binding window".

Do you have any other suggestion?

Thank you

Perhaps you are missing required IIS components - Consult your IT system admin knowledgeable in IIS webserver.

Review and validate: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/web-adaptor/latest/install/iis/manually-enable-iis-and-required-com...

Do you have a valid SSL certificate specific to the Server/Machine?

Verify using: View certificates with the MMC

Hi Ayan,

my previous consideration about site binding was wrong. I'm able to change http to https if press "add..."  instead of "edit..." existent site so I removed previous site and I added https/443 with a SSL certificate. The SSL certificate has been created with "created Self-signed certificate" tools of IIS.

After that a new error messagge appear:

portal_error.png

During the  ArcGIS Enterprise Builder installation I provided a valid arcgisenterpriseportallicencexxxx.json e arcgisserverlicencexxx.prvc licences.

I tried to reinstall "Portal for ArcGIS" using "repair" option but the above message persist. Within my window Esri app there isn't "Software Autorization for Portal for ArcGIS" link but only  "Software Autorization for ArcGIS Server" link. On my server I have the following arcgis software:

Do you have any other idea?

Thank you

The https/443 with SSL certificate is a pre-requisite to installing Enterprise Builder. Now that you have added it correctly, suggest uninstall completely, reboot the machine and re-install.  This will be the cleanest way.

If uninstall is not an option, you will have to troubleshot step by step. The Portal is licensed during create a portal  step.

I would caution against using ArcGIS Enterprise Builder on an EC2 instance (judging by the returned hostname) since it does not support the use of a DNS alias for the deployment and the organization and services URLs will be based-on the instance name. If this is for an internal proof of concept environment that may not matter, but the alternative would be to follow the base enterprise deployment tutorial.

Dears Alian and Christopher,

thank you for your reply. I've a EC2 instance (t2.xlarge with 4 vCPU) on AWS. Today I 've unistalled all Esri components and deleted all old directories. Now I installed Portal for ArcGIS (Portal_for_ArcGIS_Windows_110_182885.exe) only where i provided the following information during the installation steps.

portalforarcgissteps.png

Also I used D:\arcgisportal like home directory instead of C:\arcgisportal

The installation has been completed without error but opening web browser at https://ec2amaz-1vfuf0p:7443/arcgis/home or http

I got the following error:

gprocino_0-1673531017290.png

Looking in physical path c:\intetpub\wwwroot the folder arcgis\home  doesn't exist and in IIS there isn't virtual directory.

The log file (see xxx.log) contain the following verbose message:

The process monitor did not find the connection to the configuration store. The site may not have been initialized. After the site is initialized, the check for database processes will be reattempted.

Do you have any idea? It's a just the new first step....

Thank you in advance.
