I want to create 1000+ dashboards, customized with a specific view from the same feature service. The making of the views is not the problem .
The dashboard, including the webmap and layer view, should be shared in a group (so I need 1000+ groups).
All views of the same feature service should have the same owner, which makes it impossible to share all dashboards in their correct group, because a user can be in max 512 groups.
My idea would be: remove the limit of groups a user can be in, or at least make it changeable. Would be awesome!
Removing these limits would be very helpful for our very large hosting farm.
We manage user permissions in a Portal-connected app with groups that represent a matrix of affiliation and user level, i.e.
This quickly hits the 512 group limit and we have to start using multiple admin users to create groups, and "waste" a valuable Portal members in the process for just this.
Custom user roles and types cannot achieve this granularity currently.
