ArcGIS Online and Portal now support standard metadata records for published items. Access to create, read, update and delete (CRUD) will permit the creation of scripts, tools and workflows to manage metadata records for published items. This ability will promote the use of Portal/ArcGIS Online as catalogs to manage an enterprise's published assets.
