Converting Raster to Polygon Problem

Question

Here is the problem I am trying to work through:
I have a classification raster that I converted to a polygon. The polygon is extremely large and will not draw on my map. I suspect there are too many vertices. More importantly, any attempts to run geoprocessing tools on the polygon causes ArcMap to stall or crash. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to generate a simpler polygon. Thank you.

You could try using the Dice tool on the polygon output or use the Split  Raster tool to cut up your raster before your convert to polygon?
