Network Analyst - Add Road Speed as an attribute to built network

Following numerous conversations with ESRI support staff, to my knowledge there is no means of retrieving road link speeds on screen (simple click/identify) once a road network has been successfully created and built via Productivity Suite.  Thisn is crucial for on screen validation and sense checking and I am sure this would be a great help to many users if it could be added.
