ABSTRACT: "Elephants are disappearing in Africa. GeoSpatial technologies based on remotely sensed data are increasingly used to study African elephants in an effort to protect the species from poaching and Human Elephant Conflict. Although advances in technology have made the visualization of remotely sensed biospatial data increasingly easier to achieve, there remains a need for seamlessly integrated GIS capable of the (rapid) assimilation of data featuring functionality capable of rich statistical analysis as well as location based visualization.
