"I’ve been taking pictures since I was a kid. In the 1990s I had the good fortune to spend a few years in Russia, and several of my photos from that time have been published in calendars, magazines (most notably Popular Science), books, and other media. I received an MS in Forestry in 1994 and went on to spend 20 years as a field biologist, during which I grew to love plant photography, and plants remain my most frequent subject.
