Why is parcel fabric editing only supported on one version level below the default version?

Versioning considerations for the parcel fabric feature adjustment

With a protected DEFAULT why not support child and grandchild versions?

With only one version level below DEFAULT the reconcile & post can conflict with other editors in the enterprise.

Example:

DEFAULT (Protected)

PostEditor1 (public and owned by an account that can create it, delete it, reconcile & post to DEFAULT)
- Editor1Private (owned by the editor to work in their own bucket, reconcile & post to their posting version when they're ready)
