I am looking for a ArcObjects method or a property where I can show/hide the Symbol of a layer. (see the attached screenshot). Any Help would be appreciated
I don't think what you are asking is possible or even sensible? If you some how hide a layer then you deprive the user of knowing the state of the layer (e.g. is the layer visible in the map). What happens if they want to change it's visibility or symbology? If it is hidden they won't be able to do it.
