Hello everyone, I am a new student user and I will gladly take any advice on how to make using ArcMaps any easier, at least till I get the hang of it.
Agreed! Pro is connected better to the cloud, is easier to learn and use, is faster, more powerful.

I suggest you skip ArcMap and start using ArcGIS Pro.
Things get easier as you get the hang of it....
