Zoom-To Layer with LayerDefinition

I have a Layer which i filter with LayerDefinition. Now i would like to zoom to the features i filtered using the LayerDefinition. Is that possible?

I don't think that's possible out-of-the box (i.e without writing a web service or a SOE doing the job).
