I cannot create a new site -- ArcGIS Server 10.2.2

Question

I get the error: 0x80040154 - Could not create object 'ConfigurationFactory'. I am trying to install ArcGIS Server version 10.2.2 on CentOS release 6.8 (Final). I think I'm missing some packages. Is there a list of required packages for this operating system?

Server 10.2 is not supported on CentOS Linux. If you think you are missing packages, your best bet would be to look at the required Red Hat 6 packages listed in the System Requirements. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/system-requirements/10.2/index.html#/ArcGIS_for_Server/015100000072000000/

FYI - the corresponding message in the log: Failed to create the site. com.esri.arcgis.discovery.servicelib.AGSException: java.lang.Exception: AutomationException: 0x80040154 - Could not create object 'ConfigurationFactory'.
