I don't believe that many to many is supported by the API or Rest. I'm not 100% on that though.

We've been able to confirm that the REST API supports M-M relates so we're beginning to suspect it has something to do with the way that our map service is set up. We're going to test your widget tomorrow against the simplified service we set up to test the REST API. I'll post the results.

Hi Robert,

I had this awesome widget up and running until yesterday when I installed SP3. I'm running everything on one box in a text environment. Yesterday the relates were working perfectly, but now when I click on the show related records icon - nothing happens. Thought maybe you may some thoughts? I'm fresh out ideas...

Did you run the server post install? Have you chaecked the REST Services directory and made sure that the layers that use to have relates still do have them listed in the service directory?

Hi Robert,

I wondered if there is a way to make the enhanced search results and/or enhanced identify results copy and paste-able. What I mean is my users would like to perform a search and then perhaps, copy the parcel number from the results screen and paste it into another application. Thank you in advance for your response.

When I add a second link, I get this error message "Error # 1009.

Here is what I am entering:

The latest version does not not even use linkfield... Are you using an older version? If so than you might be trying to use a version that does not support multiple links. Once you get the latest version than just read the Enhanced Search Widget XML Configuration.pdf on how to use multiple links.

For multiple links you just add another link element and it's children to the links parent element.

I spend a fair amount of time on my documentation so that is why I usually do not restate what I have already written in the documentation on these forums.

I thought that was where I add additional links, but they are not active. I see the link path, but they are not active. I will try more before I ask more questions.

Also post the bit of the SearchWidget.xml for the particular layer that you have having issues with from <layer> to </layer> so I can see if you having just some syntax or something wrong.

First, let me add my voice to the chorus of thanks-- your tools and support of the community are outstanding.

I have the Enhanced Search Widget up and running successfully with my MapService. I also have a geoprocessing service that returns a point layer as part of my map. I would like the user to be able to select these results and view the table in the DataGrid. I am fairly new to both ArcGIS Server and Flex (I have poked around the uncompiled code, but haven't gotten into it yet). It's not clear to me whether geoprocessing results which come from the UniqueJobID/%scratchworkspace% on the server have a REST endpoint. And if so, if there is a consistent one that can be access across sessions with the same URL.

I hope this hasn't been address before-- I searched for it, but this thread is so long, I may have missed it.

I am using several event layers. The widget works as expected with the exception of grid interaction which assumes the existence of a common OID. Robert, how would you handle this? Perhaps it would be possible to create a unique ID for members of the selection set and base communication on that? Perhaps there is a way to force creation of an OID when creating the event layers, though I do not see how that is possible if one is not creating physical records. Any input would be appreciated.

Hello,

I am having an issue with the export functionality of the eSearch widget.
I have a map where few layers are not eligible for exporting data, and so I set "<enableexport>false</enableexport>" to disable it. When I click on the "Show Results in a Grid" button, everything works fine, that is, it is not possible to export the data - except if I first click on any other button on the widget window, like the "Results" button, and then on the "Show Results in a Grid" button: this time, the "Search Results" window allows me to export the data, even on export-disabled layers.
Is there something else I could do?

An you are using the latest version 2.5.1.2? You have to keep up to date with the most current release if you are going to get bug fixes. I just tested in the latest release and can not duplicate the issue.
