Bad quality value of elevation (Z) in Arcpad 10.2

Hello Every One, 

i am curently working with Arcpad 10.2 with Trimble  Juno 3D.

On the field i noticed that the height (Z) value is to high , in fact i am having 132 meters at the front line of the see ( i should normally have 0 meter ).

The latitude and longitude are quite good , the PDOP is under 2 (1.9) wich seems good.

Does anyone know  where the problem might be ? 

Any help will be highly appreciated.

ArcPad is receiving NMEA data and the Z value is an ellipsoid height, not orthometric. You have the ability to put a geoid separation value in ArcPad, so I would recommend looking into what your separation value is for your project area and enter it. If you are in an area with a extreme terrain changes, your values could vary a lot from one area to another and this value changed accordingly.

All said, the Juno is 2-5 meters accuracy in the horizontal, so I would say 3-10 meters in the vertical at best. Do not rely on your Z value to be all that accurate with devices that provide this level of accuracy.
