Greetings Everyone,
Can someone help me with writing a python to calculate the Gini coefficient for a series of data. The Gini coefficient can be calculated in one of two ways shown on attached document.

Those equation don't look like citations from the original references but cited from some other document ... perhaps a variant of the equation's term representation? Did you find large differences in the results or something? Or perhaps can you give your references citation so that term derivations can be compared.

Thank you for getting back to me. Yes I did see that thread. Please correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like the solutions suggested there don't use the original Gini formulas (the ones I attached). Any thoughts?
