Please i had the attached ArcGIS 10.1 Web Adaptor Installation Error Message Screen. Can any one help with this
There are two things I've found to most commonly cause this problem. Though there maybe other reasons as well.
- An existing web.config in the root of the IIS folder (by default c:\inetpub\wwwroot) that conficts with the web adaptors web.config. If this is the case, you can try temporarily moving the existing one out of c:\inetpub\wwwroot out of the way. (Though I'd check with your IIS admin to make sure it doesn't effect anyone else.)
T- he other thing is I would check is your web adaptor application pool, and try giving it a new identity, as per https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc771170%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

Thanks so much Ken. I tried the two options and it worked. I had to change
the user ID of the Web adaptor pool to a local inbuilt account. And the Web
home page open for configuration.
