Uploading DEM's to Arcgis Online

Question

Does ArcGIS Online have the capability to import DEM's? What would I need to do on my end to accomplish this? I think it would be awesome to show DEM's with our trails.

As DEM's are raster datasets the most viable option would be to publish them as hosted tiled map services assuming you have a subscription for ArcGIS Online.
