Unique Value renderer without using field

Hi
I'd would like to build an unique value renderer based on values not stored in a field.
This values are calculated in memory.
I may store values into a text file and construct a join on the ObjectID but i'd like doing this simpler.
is it possible giving to arcmap the renderer value on demand ?
I'm usin ArcObjects with C#
