Contour map generation and displaying on Map

Is there any way to generate the contour map or some sort of heat map using X Y Coordinates and height value and project project or overlap on other Map controls using Javascript.Thanks you in advance.The data will be coming from database table or from csv/xls file.Thank you in advance.

I am looking for the same thing.  Is there some sort of api call for this or is the only way to do this is through:
    com.esri.arcgis.geoprocessing.tools.analyst3dtools.Contour
