Cost path problem

Question

Hi,

So I have created a cost path for to derive the path of least resistance down a digital elevation model (DEM).

I have also converted the path to a polyline to use injunction with hydro polyline data.
Then thought that there might be a way to clip it at the intersect.

Is it possible to have this path stop at the first instance of a hydrological feature?
or 
Is there a way to clip at the intersection of two polylines?
or
Is there an entirely different way to look at it that I might be missing?

If I understand your problem correctly, you would like to split the path polyline at the intersections with river polylines? Or would you like to delete the path polyline segments that cross the river?
