Is there a print widget, current or planned for experience builder? I certainly cant seem to find it anywhere in the builder or help menu.
thanks
It's unreasonable to have to use developer edition for a custom print widget for as many in-house apps as we have for our departments. Developer also is not up to par in any of their software, including Experience Builder. So to move to Developers edition might allow a print widget, but it would take away from other available functions that AGOL has over the developers edition.
The road map said that a print widget would be coming to AGOL Experience Builder as of 4th quarter of 2021 - wondering where that is in it's implementation?
Hello Robert
Do you think it's possible to implement the layout extent function like on your webappbuilder custom print widget ? It was very usefull
This widget is exactly what I'm looking for and using Developer version is not an option, because of maintenance matter. Simple workaround I did is create the app in WAB with print widget and embed it in EB. Which is not really the best solution but it works for now. Definitely support the idea of having print widget for the next release!
There is a custom print widget available here:

Hi,We have used the old PrintPlus widget in Webapp Builder. The print idea of the PrintPlus widget is excellent, but it is technically outdated and the print performance is poor. We desperately need a modern and high-performance print widget on top of Experience Builder or Webapp Builder.Do you recommend developing a replacement print widget ourselves? Alternatively, will there be a ready-made print widget like PrintPlus on top of Experience in the future?
Thanks for the tips in advance 🙂
I also agree that my users frequently print to PDF using WebApp Builder. Now with today's (3/9/21) announcement of Map Viewer Beta becoming the standard map viewer, most of us know that those great new Map Viewer beta functions (grouping layers, etc) aren't usable in the current WAB (I realize it will still display the layers). The advent of the Map Viewer Beta's tools is one of the reasons I experimented heavily with Exp Builder, so I hope the functional parity arrives this year...especially printing for those without developer editions.
Agreed. Being able to actually rotate the map and have a better pdf exporting tool would be of great value.
Just adding to the discussion here and a bit late to the game, but printing is the number one feature my app users want. I too was testing experience builder and was liking the look of it, then found out there is no print widget. And it's not just my users that want print functionality, for the viewers of the very popular interactive swiss topo maps, one out of every nine visitors used the print feature!
David,
Thank you for the response and helpful information.
When I go to follow the guide from arcgis-experience-builder-sdk-resources/samples/widgets/editor at master · Esri/arcgis-experience-builder-sdk-resources … How do I know which file to add the appropriate code to? I am a little unfamiliar with the file structure of Experience Builder.
Below is an example. I am struggling to find which file I need to add the code expressed in this screenshot, and the rest of the guide as well.
Thanks!
Henry
Hi Henry,
In this sample arcgis-experience-builder-sdk-resources/samples/widgets/editor at master · Esri/arcgis-experience-builder-sdk-resources … you could basically replace the editor widget with the print widget. See the attached zip file. This is using the 1.1 release.
Cheers,
David
Hi David,
I was wondering if you could provide some information and guidance on how to "import the Print widget into Experience Builder for use", like you mentioned above. I have Experience Builder Developer addition installed and working properly but was hoping for some insight on how to implement a Print Widget into my experience.
Thank you,
Thanks David. Hopefully soon then. I was looking at this as a possible replacement for an AppBuilder application that is hosted on argis online. I know the client likes to print maps. I'll sit on the sidelines with this product until it develops a bit more.
best
Dan
Hi Dan,
We currently do not have the print widget available in the builder. We can take your feedback and add it to our new enhancements lists. In the meantime, if you have the developer edition of Experience Builder you can easily import the Print widget into Experience Builder for use.
