<\/HEAD>Desculpe se esta é uma pergunta boba.<\/SPAN> Tenho usado ArcGIS para SharePoint há algum tempo e estava bastante satisfeito com meu webpart e a interação entre ele e meus serviços. Agora instalamos ESRI maps para SharePoint e eu nem sei por onde começar. Nada é intuitivo, não há demos reais, nenhum treinamento disponível... arrg! Eu fico dando voltas tentando editar o webpart e tudo que acabo fazendo é entrar no ArcGIS online dezenas de vezes. Normalmente sou bom em descobrir essas coisas, mas estou perdido e ficando cada vez mais frustrado!!!!<\/SPAN><\/BODY><\/HTML>

Hi John,

The most up-to-date help for the JavaScript-based Esri Maps Web Part is here: http://doc.arcgis.com/en/maps-for-sharepoint/esri-maps-web-part/about-the-esri-maps-web-part.htm.

Yes, it is true that you no longer interact with the standard SharePoint ribbon, but much of the functionality is the same, with the exception of Printing, as you've noted. This is coming at a future release.

In terms of general documentation, please let us know the additional info that you need. We don't yet have an SDK because extensibility is not yet available for the JavaScript-based web part. This is coming at our 4.0 Final release in Q4 of this year.

We understand that constantly logging in is causing some problems. The issue here is that the web part MUST be in edit mode for the sign in credentials to be persisted. We are aware that the sign in dialog appears while the web part is not in edit mode and that this can be confusing. If you ensure you are in edit mode, then enter your credentials, and then click OK or Apply to save the changes, the credentials will be persisted in the web part for your session.

Also, you can search for SharePoint videos on http://video.esri.com and find up-to-date quick videos on the new web part.

Twins?  Where is the ribbon?  I understand the power of being able to use Javascript to customize the application, but out of the box nothing here is the same.  Shouldn't there be easy ways to configure the thing without getting into development at step one?  What happened to my attachments?  I have to share the map on arcgis just to print!!??  That's a whole extra step for no apparent reason.  My users are not going to have any idea what they are doing.  I envision dozens of published web maps cluttering up our account for no apparent reason.

Sorry if this turned into a rant but I'm very frustrated.

It would be helpful if all the help wasn't still about  the Silverlight-based ArcGIS for Sharepoint.  And on that note, the SDK reference too.

Did you ever figure this out?  I'm having the same issues you described.  No ribbon, constant prompts to log in.  I can't figure out where the issue is coming from.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Bobbi,

You might find it helpful to start at our About page (http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/sharepoint/concepts/index.html#/About_the_Esri_Maps_Web_Part/01590000005q000000/) and then work from there for information on the new JavaScript-based Esri Maps Web Part. While we worked to provide similar functionality in the new JavaScript based web part to that of the existing Silverlight based web part, but there were some bits of functionality (such as Print) that weren't feasible at the 3.0 release. Printing is on our list for an upcoming release.
