Maps showing as "on device" after offline area deleted

Question

I have a large number of web maps in my AGOL that I can see on Field Maps. Sometimes after downloading an area for offline use, I will later want to delete that offline area again to save space on my device. However after deleting all offline areas for some web maps, they still appear in the "On device" section at the top of my list of maps in Field Maps.

Ideally these wouldn't appear anymore as they are not, in fact, still on my device, and I just end up with a long list of maps at the top that I have to scroll through every time I use the app.

Restarting the app and restarting my device does not help. So far the only way I've found to get rid of these is to delete and reinstall the app, which I don't really want to do every time.

Am I missing some easier way to fix this? Is this a bug?

Edit to add: it still stays in On Device even after the web map is deleted from AGOL (and the offline area on device has already been deleted prior to this).

Yep, also on Android 17, Pixel 9. Other android uses say the same thing.

I also want to note that these are InTune fully managed devices which are managed by our IT department, so I CANNOT delete the app and reinstall it, as the settings do not allow for app deletion. This is not a troubleshooting step available to me or the field users in this organization.

Thank you so much for posting this community thread! I have maps whose offline areas I deleted WEEKS ago and they are still listed in the "On device" section. It does not list that it has any Map areas, unlike the field maps which do legitimately still have offline areas downloaded for.

I am on Android OS--Galaxy Tab Active 5 to be specific. There are several users in my organization who have reported similar behavior, and are wondering how to remove them from this list as this is pretty annoying. I have attempted force quitting the app, restarting the tablet, signing out and signing in again to the Field Maps app, clearing the app's cache in settings, no luck with any of these steps.
