why won't my cover video autoplay?

I spent so much time creating the perfect video for my Story Map cover - but it won't autoplay.

I tried all the different cover layouts, and on several different browsers and when the story map appears, there's a play button. Do you know who is going to click a play button? 

no one. 

How can I make the video simply play as described in the Story Map documentation? It has no audio. I tried .mp4, .mov..

@AurelieShapiro - The video also autoplays for me (and looks fantastic!).

If you see the control bar across the bottom of the video, that's a sign that you have your OS set to prefer reduced motion. If you turn that off, you should see the video autoplay.

Windows (may differ by version): Go to Settings > Accessibility > Visual Effects, and toggle the "Animation Effects" option.
