Partnered collaborations - taking ownership of shared content

We have a partnered collaboration set up so that an another organisation can share content with us and create apps for us. Ultimately the data and apps they share we need to take ownership of. What is the best way to do this? If they create an app(s) and we take ownership of it I assume we will have to reset up links to data within our organisation? Should they create the app in our AGOL space if so how would they do that without us giving them an account in our AGOL subscription? Can the partnered organisation change ownership to somebody within our organisation or would an admin in our organisation need to change the ownership?

Partnered collaboration faciliates sharing. It doesn't faciliate item transfer.

There is no direct mechanism to transfer content between ArcGIS Online organizations.

You can use the (unsupported) Esri PS Assist / ArcGIS Online assistant to copy content between orgs.

You can also use the ArcGIS API for Python and clone_items methods to copy data across.

Both methods will have a few considerations. For example, ensuring any service URLs in maps/apps refer to the new items/org. Some content will be significantly more difficult to migrate without issues.

Depending on the amount of content you are looking to migrate, it may be easier to do it manually.
