"Pan to" and "Zoom" trigger action when filtering (Mosaic) Imagery Layer

We are experiencing a problem with the "zoom" and "pan to" action after filtering (Filter widget) a large imagery layer.

According to our Esri Customer-Service, the problem seems to be, that the filter-widget needs to have features in order to trigger the "pan to" and "zoom" action. Imagery layers consist only of pixel data and do not include geometry. 

However, when we are using the "search"-widget - and have the filter option set - "pan to" and "zoom" do work. That's already a workaround, but limits the filter to one mosaic only. 

That makes us wonder, whether there is geometry processed with imagery-layers? And if so, would it be possible to include that process for imagery-layers in the filter widget as well? Often, you want to filter not just one mosaic, but multiple.

If your imagery is added as an Imagery Layer (or Image Service) in a Map widget, it should work with mosaic methods like By Attribute, Closest to Center, and Seamline, and users will be able to pan and zoom normally.

Create a new mosaic dataset, add your rasters to it, and then create an imagery layer from that mosaic dataset. Make sure the layer properties are set correctly and match your image properties.

To allow zooming to the full extent, build overviews. Just right-click the mosaic dataset, choose Optimize, and click Build Overviews.
