StoryMaps Map tour (Mobile View)

Hi there!

 

I have created a map tour via StoryMaps to swrve as a navigation application for a set of hiking tours with curated stops in the map tours.

Unfortunately when loaded via mobile device, the map frame reduces to around 1/4 of mobile screen and thus makes it hard for someone to mavigate around. It seems tou cannot expand the map section.

 

Apart from switiching to other platforms (experience builder) what other suggestions do you recommend?

@RobertVassallo - Thanks for providing feedback about the map tour. You are correct that the map in a map tour is not expandable on a mobile device. This is meant to simplify the experience for readers and balance the limited space on a phone between the map and the media and description for each place. 

A few suggestion are 1) if you can do without the navigation bar turning that off will provide more room for the map on small screens, and 2) you could use a sidecar to build a tour-like experience, which does allow the map to be expanded on small screens.
