Splitting Line Features failed with no added information.

Question

I am splitting up a line from a shapefile that I created in my geodatabase. And I am getting an error that says "Splitting Line Features failed" without any other information on why it failed.

I have had the issue before, and I think I previously did something to fix it, but it is popping up again, so I am wondering what actually could be going on.

A couple things I saw within the internals:
1.  In ArcGIS Pro 3.3, creating a line across the feature with the split tool will split the line feature rather than double clicking once on the line feature. Enable Snapping to split a line with a single click.
2.  In ArcGIS Pro 3.4 - BUG-000172550 : When using the Split tool from the Modify Features pane in ArcGIS Pro 3.4, the error message, “Splitting features failed” is returned when the map and layer projections differ.

What release of ArcGIS Pro are you using?
