we are facing pain when we are trying to update web map content through the ArcGIS pro but we are getting the following warning "A web layer named “xyz_MIL1” already exists. Please choose a different name that is unique within your organization".
we cannot find where and how to change the name of the map service and we are not able to replace it. Thus, we are forced to delete the MIL from the ArcGIS server to be able to save the updated web map.
the above solution leads to the change in the map item id for the service layer.
kindly anyone have a clarification? Thank you.
